The Shumard Red Oak is a North Texas favorite. Considered a moderate to fast grower the Shumard Red Oak grows to be a large stately tree. The leaves have a dark green color until fall when they turn a beautiful crimson red color. The Shumard Red Oak has an amazing tolerance to high alkaline soils and drought.
