The River Birch is a deciduous tree for a wet area. It prefers sandy soil but can grow well in other soils with enough moisture. The color in the fall is a lovely shade of yellow and the skin exfoliates adding interesting features to any landscape. The ‘Dura Heat’ variety has a white exfoliating bark.
